Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God

Johnathan Edwards

"The tall, lean minister stood behind the wooden pulpit and faced his audience. He began his sermon, reading in careful, measured tones. As he read, his words astounded his listeners.

'There is nothing that keeps wicked men at any one moment out of Hell,' he declared, 'but the mere pleasure of God.' He continued,

'O sinner, consider the fearful danger you are in! It is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit that you are held over in the hand if that God whose wrath is provoked and increased as much against you as against the damned in Hell. You hang by a slender thread with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it and ready every moment to single it and burn it asunder; and you have nothing to lay hold of to save yourself-nothing that you have done, nothing that you can do to induce God to spare you one moment.'

As the minister preached, some of the congregation cried out in fear, struck with overwhelming conviction. Others grew solemn as the fear of divine judgment began to grip the audience, the preacher exhorted his listeners,

'Therefore, let everyone that is out of Christ now awake and flee from the wrath to come.'"

Father's Day Project #2

So, I decided to go ahead and start on Daddy's 2nd project.:) I'm really excited about it and if you know my dad, then you know he loves food. lol
I saw this Idea on Pinterest and thought it'd be fun to do one for daddy.
I didn't notice it when I loaded this, but apparently I cut off the left side of the pic and I'm too lazy to take another one, so this will have to do. :)
Anyway... I love it and can't wait for him to see/eat it. <3

Father's Day Project #1

So my best friend made me this blanket for Christmas. I LOVE and use it ALL the time!

  Why does this matter?
                                                                  I'm about to tell you...
So, I was thinking about what I would get daddy for Father's Day and figured a blanket would be a good idea since he likes to take his little naps on the couch before work, all wrapped up in some kind of blanket.
I didn't wanna get him just any blanket, so I looked at Walmart's and Walgreen's online photo centers for those fleece blankets with collages on them. I figured I could upload a few pics and get him one.
Wellllllll... Bad idea. Those things aren't cheap! Lol
So I called T.P. up, asked her how she made mine and made one for Daddy:)

I started by getting some fleece from walmart. I got 1 1/2 yards in the Carolina blue/white and the solid white. When I got home, I laid the two pieces together, smoothed out the air bubbles and used sewing pins to keep them together.
I ended up having to go back and put the pins about 2 inches higher than they are in the first picture because of the way you have to cut it.
I cut a square off, about the size of the one I'm holding in the pic, on each corner. For the strips, I cut most of them about the width of my thumb or a little smaller and the length of the scissors.

Then, I started knotting the strips.:)

I made sure to knot it so that the solid white showed on the printed side and the print showed on the white side.
And this is the finished product.
I think it looks pretty great myself. I can't wait till he sees it.:)
He shouldn't see this post since he doesn't get online much. He probably doesn't even know I still blog...
Anyway... Thank you, T.P. for helping me with this project!

Rainbow Cupcakes

So, I made these Rainbow cupcakes for Harrison's Patch class a while back and decided to make some today. They're pretty easy, so I figured I'd blog about it since I haven't blogged about anything in a year.
So, here we go...
I grabbed a box of Mama's white cake mix, mixed as directed and divided into four bowls. Then I added the food coloring of my choice. I think the blue, yellow and pink are pretty but that green didn't turn out as good...

Next, I added about 1 1/2- 2 tsp. of batter of each color into each cupcake hole... or whatever you call it, until the batter was gone.

I just kinda put the batter wherever...

Then, I took a toothpick and randomly swirled it to my liking:)

When they were done I went around the edge if the cupcake with a fork and plopped them out on the counter.
Then I iced them and I was done.

                                                                      ---The Result---
Aren't they pretty?:)

This Is Great... Hahaha:)

Sooooooooooo... I was reading some of my mom's older blog posts she did on me, Justin and Harrison and I saw this one from like a year ago...

So, I HAVE to share it.:)

"It's been a long while since we've had a stomach bug in the house. Hannah came down with it Wednesday night. Since then, Bruce and I have been feeling sick. No visual effects, but the feeling is there. It's at that point where you just wish something would hurry up and happen because feeling this way really slows a body down.

The kids were on their way to pick up some things for camp. They called and said Harrison had gotten sick and they were on their way back home to drop him off. Bless his heart. This is kind of a funny story. The more I thought about it the funnier it became until I was literally squirting tears and laughing hysterically. Poor kid...So Justin is driving down the road. Hannah is in the passenger's seat. Harrison is in the back seat of the car lying down. The fact he was lying down would have been a good clue he wasn't feeling good. But the two teenagers in the front seat didn't pick up on it. Anyway, as they're driving down Franklin Blvd (which is three lanes both ways) Justin feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns to look at Harrison who is holding his head in such a way that THIS clue tips off both teenagers he's fixin' to hurl. Hannah begins yelling, 'PULL THE CAR OVER! PULL OVER!!!' Unfortunately for all of them, there was no way or no where to stop the car with other cars whizzing by them. The only two options were to, A: let Harrison vomit in the car, or, B: roll the window down and hang his head out. They all knew option A was a really bad idea. So option B was implemented. Down goes the window, out goes Harrison's head. He immediately released the last day or so of food buildup on his stomach. Most of which ended up splattered all over the back of the car, down his car door, and the tire . I can only imagine the thoughts of the people driving by them as they watched with horror, a little boy puking his guts up riding down the blvd. Needless to say they made it back home. Harrison got sick once he walked back into the house but is now resting quietly in bed and a glass of coke within reach. Justin washed the car....obviously....and he and Hannah took off once again to finish their camp shopping.

Oh me, oh my....the things that happen in life, right?"

Hahaha:)

That's a great memory for me, believe it or not. Probably not for Harrison, though.

Is Mrs. Kristi Here Yet?

My conversation with my munchkin this morning:
"Is Mrs. Kristi here yet?" "No. Not yet."
5min later... "Is Mrs. Kristi here yet?" "No, she's not here yet."
2min later... "Is Mrs. Kristi here yet?" "Nope. Not yet."
6min ... "Is Mrs. Kristi HERE yet?" "No, Mrs. Kristis not here yet.":)
"Are you SURE??" "I'm sure. But I'll tell you when she gets here. Ok?"
"You promise?"
"I promise."
lol:) He's so cute.

Babysitting & My bEsTeSt FwAnD:)

So, I won't be home for a few days. Tonight after drivers ed I'm gonna go watch a couple of my munchkins.:) Then... I'll spend the night with some people from church, wake up and babysit some MORE of my munchkins. Some people would hate babysitting so much... But I LOVE spending time with my darlins.

Then... Later that night I get to spend the night with my bEsTeSt FwAnD.:) We haven't done anything in forever. lol Usually when we're at each other's houses we just sit, watch a movie, eat, watch a movie, sit, eat, get on the computer... Lol We're very boring together but we still have a good time. :)

Drivers ed has gone pretty good so far. I had a test last night. I missed like 3 and made an 88%... It's ok, I guess but I coulda done better. Lol
